TVL Virology is a full-service clinical virology laboratory offering the following methodologies:
- Viral culture
- Viral antigen detection
- Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to isolate or detect numerous viruses
- Viral antibody and viral load testing
- Nucleic acid amplified testing (NAAT) for gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia
- HPV DNA tests

January 2010 Influenza Testing Update
At this time there is not much circulating influenza virus, and per this week’s update from Washington State Epidemiology:
All subtyped Influenza A Viruses reported to the CDC from Region X (WA, OR, ID, AK) during the past 5 weeks
were the 2009 Influenza A (H1N1) viruses.
